A self directed way to plan for retirement. Three reasons to open an IRA account include: (1) Tax Savings, (2) Tax Deferred Earnings, and (3) Retirement Security. We offer term certificate accounts for IRA contributions, and a variable rate IRA.
There is also a "Roth IRA" which is not deductible when you pay taxes, but the earnings are tax free. Under certain circumstances, when you withdraw deposits from a Roth IRA the funds are tax free. Roth IRA accounts can be used to save for a home purchase, and can be withdrawn tax free for a first time home buyer.
